Berry Twist in pink, rose and strong orange. Matcha Twist in khaki, lime and sage green. Ocean Twist in shades of blue. All three match our jumpers and coats in the same colour worlds and look like a home accessory on the floor rather than a dog toy.
The Twisty Ball is made of knitted strands tied into a knot. You tuck dry food, dog biscuits or other dry snacks into the gaps. Your dog smells them, pushes the ball with its nose, turns it with a paw and works the treats out piece by piece.
To start, tuck the snacks in loosely and visibly, later deeper between the strands. Depending on difficulty and motivation, one filling lasts a few minutes up to half an hour. Use dry snacks only, no wet food, no pastes.

From chihuahua to great dane
The ball suits small and large dogs that like to search with their nose, adult dogs as much as seniors. Searching with the nose is head work: a dog that sniffs with concentration for ten minutes is calmer afterwards than after ten minutes of fetch. Many dogs lie down with the ball after searching and fall asleep next to it.
For puppies and dogs with sharp teeth we rather recommend rubber toys, because textile toys are quickly damaged by sharp teeth. A dog that takes soft toys apart can also tear this ball.

Knitted cotton on the outside. Inside a polyester wadding filling that is itself knitted around again so the ball keeps its shape. No metal parts, no squeaker, no plastic parts.
We use high-quality materials only and no animal materials such as wool, down, leather or silk, because we do not want to use any material for which an animal was harmed.
Safety
The Twisty Ball is a snuffle, relaxation and cuddle toy for supervised play, not a chew toy and not a tug toy. Do not leave your dog alone with the ball unsupervised, take it away when your dog starts chewing on it, and remove it as soon as it is damaged.

Designed at the lumiies studio in Hamburg, knitted and knotted in the same premium manufacturer in India where our Studio Nest is made: a third-generation family business that produces mainly for the European market and also makes clothing and blankets for babies and small children. We have worked with this manufacturer since 2025 and were there ourselves in July 2026.

How does a snuffle ball work?

How often should I wash the ball?
As needed. Knock out crumbs and leftovers after playing, wash it when it smells or is soiled. If you hide treats every day, wash it about every one to two weeks.
Does the Twisty Ball help with boredom or on rainy days?
Yes, that is its purpose. Ten minutes of nose work occupies a dog mentally and calms it down. Many dog owners use it on rainy days, after short walks, during rest after an injury or as quiet occupation when guests are over.
Can I give the Twisty Ball when my dog is home alone?
No. The ball is meant for supervised play. A dog that is alone and has emptied the ball might start chewing on it.

Der Mantel sie so toll aus und passt auch sehr gut!!! Gerade ist es ja sehr warm und auch absolut kein Regen, aber die Zeit wird kommen und ich hoffe, daß auch der kleine "Mantelmuffel" Karli seinen super Glowmantel dann lernt zu mögen.
