Which measurements are important?

In order to find the ideal fit for your beloved four-legged friend, it is important to have accurate measurements. Below you will find a short guide:

Preparation: Before you begin, make sure your dog is relaxed and calm. Choose a flat surface where your dog can stand comfortably. Have a flexible tape measure, a notepad and a pen handy. Your dog will appreciate treats for a little reward in between.

01

BACK LENGTH

Determining the correct back length is often a challenge; in fact, 70% of customers measure themselves incorrectly. The correct way to measure is to measure the distance between the shoulder blade and the base of the tail. Write down the value. If you need help with this measurement, we are always available to help. Feel free to use our chat function for quick help. You can also send us a photo of your dog.

02

CHEST SIZE

Identify the fullest part of your chest. Wrap the tape measure around this area and note the measurement.

03

NECK CIRCUMFERENCE

Start by measuring the circumference of the neck where your dog usually wears his collar. Make sure that the measuring tape is neither too tight nor too loose. As a guideline, you should be able to fit one or two fingers between the measuring tape and the neck without any problem. Write down the measurement.
