    Clothing for poodles, goldendoodles and labradoodles

    Curly coat looks warm, but in the wet it is not. Poodle coat soaks itself full, dries slowly and cools the dog down while it does. On top of that: after clipping, the insulation is often missing for weeks. It is in exactly these situations that a waterproof coat makes the difference between a relaxed walk and a cold dog.

    Which fit suits a poodle or doodle?

    For standard poodles, royal poodles, goldendoodles and labradoodles, Regular Fit is the right cut. It was developed for longer legs, sporty ribcages and normal to long backs.

    Miniature poodles and toy poodles sit between the two fits, depending on their measurements. Here it is not the breed name that decides, but the ratio of back length to chest girth. If in doubt, send us the measurements.

    Warm without matting

    The Glow Jumper 2.0 is a knitted dog jumper in ten sizes. It sits close to the body and can be worn under the raincoat. One thing matters with curly coat: a jumper that lies on wet coat for too long encourages matting. So take it off after the walk and go through the coat.

    Personal size advice in the customer chat

    Measure the back length from the shoulder blade to the base of the tail, the chest girth at the widest point behind the front legs and the neck girth. You will find a guide to measuring here. With curly coat the rule is: measure under the coat, not over it.

    Does the coat mat under the raincoat?

    With dry coat and normal wearing time, no. It becomes critical when wet coat lies under fabric for a longer period. Take it off after the walk and go through the coat briefly.

    What size is a goldendoodle?

    Doodles vary a great deal, from about 10 to over 30 kilograms. That is why nothing beats measuring. Back length and chest girth are the two values that count.

    Should I measure before or after clipping?

    Measure under the coat, so on the body. That way the coat fits in both states.

    Can my dog wear a harness underneath?

    Yes. The Glow Raincoat Regular Fit has a two way zip for the harness.
