At last an overall that really fits: cosy, warm, very soft and developed for dogs that standard sizes often do not suit. Long spine, deep chest, short legs. Very fluffy teddy sherpa meets elastic performance knit, for warmth, freedom of movement and a close fit.

Developed because standard sizes do not work for every dog.
Too tight at the chest, too wide at the belly, too long at the legs: with dachshunds and small, short legged dogs in particular, classic proportions often do not work.
This is exactly where our Mini Fit comes in. The cut was developed specifically for long backs, deep chest areas and short legs. Elastic performance knit at the chest and belly gives way where freedom of movement is needed.
The cut has also been optimised for male dogs.

Dog overall for dachshunds and short legged dogs
Long spine, deep chest, short legs: the body proportions of a dachshund differ clearly from those of many other dogs. Standard cuts can therefore be too short at the back, too tight at the chest, too wide at the belly or too long at the legs.
The Mini Fit was developed exactly for these proportions. It offers enough back length, short overall legs and a close fit. The highly elastic performance knit at the chest and belly moves along and returns reliably to its shape.

BELLY PROTECTION
A protected belly.
Optimised for male dogs too.
With dachshunds in particular, the chest and belly sit very close to the ground. That is why this area was deliberately not left open.
The belly panel offers close fitting coverage and is proportioned so that the cut is also suitable for male dogs. The fit was tested on a range of different dogs.
At the chest and belly, the highly elastic performance knit provides freedom of movement and shape retention. The material dries quickly, which makes it well suited to this area close to the ground.
Every dog is built individually. When trying the overall on for the first time, please always check that the belly panel, leg length and back length suit your dog.
SHERPA × PERFORMANCE KNIT
Two materials. Two jobs.
Warmth, freedom of movement and a stable fit do not come from using the same material everywhere. That is why we combine teddy sherpa with technical performance knit.
Very soft & cosy warm
100 % polyester teddy sherpa with a particularly soft touch. The fluffy fabric warms the back and body and makes the overall especially comfortable on cold days.
Elastic & shape retaining
At the chest and belly, highly elastic performance knit made from 100 % polyester provides full freedom of movement. The yarn stretches with the movement and springs back reliably into shape. Breathable and quick drying.

Neon apricot cuffs
Elastic knitted cuffs close the legs comfortably and set a characteristic lumiies® accent.

Reflective details throw back incoming light, for example from car headlights.

A note on visibility: The reflective piping throws back incoming light. The overall does not glow by itself. For extra visibility at dusk and in the dark we recommend adding Magnetic Glow Tags or reflective dog tags.

Please follow the care instructions so that teddy sherpa, performance knit and colours stay beautiful for as long as possible.

Teddy sherpa: 100 % polyester. Very fluffy, cosy, warm and with a particularly soft touch.
Performance knit: 100 % polyester. Highly elastic, shape retaining, breathable and quick drying. The yarn stretches with every movement and returns reliably to its shape.
Washing & drying +
- Machine washable at 30°C on the delicate cycle.
- Ideally wash it in the lumiies® wash bag.
- Use a delicate detergent for coloureds.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Do not iron.
- Dry flat in the air.
Removing stains +
Pre-treat soil, mud or grass before washing with a vegan gall soap suitable for coloureds.

Frequently asked questions about the Sherpa dog overall
Is the overall specially suited to dachshunds? +
The Mini Fit was developed specifically for typical dachshund proportions such as a long back, deep chest and short legs. Since every dog is built individually, the size should still always be chosen from the actual body measurements.
Is the dog overall also suitable for male dachshunds? +
Yes. The belly area was tested thoroughly and proportioned so that the belly is protected as well as possible while the cut is also suitable for male dogs. Since anatomy varies individually, the fit should be checked when trying the overall on for the first time.
Is the belly covered on a dachshund? +
Yes. The belly panel is cut close to the body and offers extra coverage for the belly area close to the ground. At the same time the highly elastic performance knit provides freedom of movement.
Can my dog wear a harness under the overall? +
Yes. In the back pocket there are two hidden openings for different positions of a harness attachment ring. There is also an opening at the collar for attaching the lead to the collar.
Why is the belly area made of performance knit? +
The highly elastic performance knit made from 100 % polyester moves along, returns reliably to its shape and is breathable as well as quick drying. That makes it well suited to the chest and belly.
Which areas of the dog are kept warm? +
The teddy sherpa covers the back and body, while the overall legs offer extra warmth at the thighs. The chest and belly are covered by the close fitting performance knit.
Does the reflective piping glow by itself? +
No. The reflective piping throws back incoming light, for example from headlights. It does not glow by itself.
How do I find the right size for my dachshund? +
Back length and chest girth matter most. Do not rely only on labels such as standard dachshund, miniature dachshund or rabbit dachshund, because proportions vary individually. Always compare the measured values with our size chart.
